Important Business Checklists
1. GST Registration Documents List
1.1 For Proprietorship (Individual Business)
- PAN Card: Clear copy of the owner’s PAN card.
- Aadhaar Card: Must be linked to an active mobile number for OTP verification.
- Photograph: Recent passport-size photo of the owner.
- Bank Proof: Cancelled cheque or latest bank statement.
- Contact Details: Active mobile number and email ID.
- Business Address Proof: Rent Agreement, Property Tax receipt, Electricity Bill, or Shop Act (Gumasta Dhara) license.
1.2 For Partnership Firm
- Partnership Deed: Clear, notarized copy of the Partnership Deed.
- Firm PAN Card: PAN card issued specifically in the firm’s name.
- Partner Details: PAN, Aadhaar, and passport-size photos of all partners.
- Authorization Letter: Signed letter on the firm’s letterhead authorizing one partner.
- Bank Proof: Cancelled cheque or active bank statement of the firm.
- Contact Details: Mobile numbers and email IDs of all partners.
1.3 For Private Limited Company
- Company Documents: Company PAN Card, Certificate of Incorporation (COI), MOA, and AOA.
- Director Details: PAN, Aadhaar (linked to mobile), and photos of all Directors.
- Board Resolution: Letter on company letterhead authorizing a Director to apply for GST.
- Bank Proof: Company’s cancelled cheque or current bank statement.
- Contact Details: Official company email ID and directors’ mobile numbers.
Business Address Proof (For All Types)
- If Owned Property: Latest Electricity Bill, Property Tax receipt, or Municipal Khata copy.
- If Rented Property: Valid Rent Agreement along with a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the owner.
2. MSME / Udyam Registration Checklist
Required Details for Udyam Certificate
- Aadhaar Card: Aadhaar of the owner or managing director (must be linked to mobile).
- PAN Card: PAN card of the business or owner.
- Contact Details: Active mobile number and email ID.
- Business Name: Exact name of your enterprise or shop.
- GST Number: Provide GSTIN if the business is registered for GST.
- Address Details: Complete office address and factory/plant address.
- Google Maps: Pinpoint location of the business.
- Business Activity: Clear description of what the business does (Manufacturing or Service).
- Employee Count: Number of male and female employees currently working.
- Date of Starting: Exact date when the business officially started.
3. New PAN Card Application Checklist
3.1 For Individuals (Form 49A)
- Identity Proof (Provide Any One): Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, Passport, or Driving License.
- Address Proof (Provide Any One): Aadhaar Card, Passport, Voter ID, Property Tax receipt, or Domicile Certificate.
- Recent Address Proof (Under 3 Months Old): Electricity bill, landline bill, or piped gas connection bill.
- Bank Address Proof: Latest Bank Account Statement, Credit Card statement, or Post Office Passbook.
- Date of Birth Proof (Provide Any One): Municipal Birth Certificate, 10th Marksheet, Passport, or Aadhaar Card.
- Photographs: 2 recent passport-size color photos (required for physical forms).
3.2 For Businesses & Companies
- Private Limited Company: Certificate of Incorporation (COI) issued by the MCA.
- Partnership Firm / LLP: Registration Certificate or notarized Partnership Deed.
- Trust: Trust Registration Certificate or Trust Deed.
- Society or NGO: Registration Certificate from Registrar of Societies or MoA.
- Signatory Details: PAN and Aadhaar of the authorized Director or Partner signing the application.
4. Registrar of Firms (ROF) Gujarat Requirements
Partnership Registration Documents
- Firm Address Proof: Electricity bill or property tax receipt for the main office.
- Partner Address Proof: Aadhaar card or Passport of all partners.
- Authority Letter: Signed letter giving permission to submit the documents.
- Partnership Deed: True copy of the notarized Partnership Deed.
- Photographs: Notarized passport-size photos of all partners.
- PAN Cards: PAN card of the Firm and personal PAN cards of all partners.
- Professional Tax: Proof of Professional Tax (PT) payment for the business.
5. Gujarat RERA Registration Checklist for Builders
Real Estate Developer Requirements
- Stamp Papers: Four ₹300 Stamp Papers in the Firm/Company name + Two Stamp Papers for ROF.
- RERA Bank Account: Cancelled cheque of a dedicated bank account (for 70% fund routing).
- Photographs: 8 passport-size photos of each partner, plus PAN, Aadhaar, and mobile details.
- Company Tax Proofs: Firm PAN Card and GST Registration Certificate.
- Firm Registration: Partnership Firm Registration Certificate (Form G) and Partnership Deed or Company MOA/AOA.
- Financials (Last 3 Years): Balance Sheets, Profit & Loss accounts, Audit Reports, and ITR filings.
- Property Title: Encumbrance Certificate, Title Clearance Certificate, and Title Report showing 30 years of history (issued in the last 3 months).
- Approvals: Valid Commencement Certificate or Raja Chitthi from the municipality.
- Land Documents: Registered Sale Deed, 7/12 records, Index copy, and Property Card.
- Plans & Layouts: Approved Building Plan, Floor Plan, and Layout Plan (Soft copies required).
- NOCs: Non-Agricultural (NA) Certificate, Fire NOC, Airport Authority NOC, and Plinth Check (if applicable).
6. Private Limited Company Registration Documents
6.1 Director & Shareholder Details
- PAN Card: Clear, self-attested copy for each Director.
- Identity Proof: Self-attested copy of Passport, Voter ID Card, or Driving License.
- Address Proof (Under 2 Months Old): Bank Account Statement, Electricity Bill, or Mobile Postpaid Bill.
- Photographs: Scanned passport-size color photo of each Director.
- Contact Details: Active mobile number and personal email ID for OTP verification.
6.2 Company Name & Business Activity
- Proposed Names: 1 or 2 preferred names for the new company.
- Business Activity: A short paragraph explaining what the business will do.
- State of Registration: The state where the main office will be located (e.g., Gujarat).
6.3 Capital & Shares
- Authorized Capital: Maximum value of shares the company can issue.
- Paid-up Capital: The actual money directors will invest to start the business.
- Shareholding Ratio: How the company ownership will be divided among the partners.
6.4 Registered Office Address Proof
- Utility Bill (Under 2 Months Old): Electricity bill, Gas bill, or Property Tax receipt.
- NOC: Signed No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the property owner.
